Happy Thanksgiving!

By in News

As we head into the  holiday week, we, at Kim Cole Real Estate, want to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving.

While celebrations may not be completely back to normal yet, we look forward to the return of some of our favorite traditions this year. No matter the size of your gathering, we hope your holiday is spent with loved ones, good food and drink. To get the celebration started, we have compiled a few of our team’s favorite Thanksgiving Traditions.

“We have a full menu of family favorites that are pretty traditional: turkey, double stuffed potatoes, green been casserole, crescent rolls and pumpkin pie. We have recently, with much debate, harvest casserole, éclair cake and I heard a rumor we are doing stuffed rolls this year.” – Bethe Vanier

“While dessert is not my jam….I do have an annual indulgence of a post-Thanksgiving moment, alone, my perfect breakfast is a delicious piece of pumpkin pie, and a large cup of piping hot coffee….pretty much the ultimate breakfast that lasts all winter long!” – Kim Cole

“Last year, my brother and I had a stuffing making competition. We each made our own and had everybody vote. My brother made a vegetarian version and I opted for a more traditional version with sausage. My brother and I are quite competitive so there was ample trash talking leading up to thanksgiving, as well as on the day itself. All said and done, I walked away with the title of master stuffing chef! The prize for first place was a toy crossbow. Very fun time and we hope to make it a tradition.” – Kellen Cole

“We don’t do this every year, but as many as we can, the traditional Piedmont Turkey Trot – a great community event 5k run. Kicks off at 8:30 am and usually has 1500-2000 participants and it also raises money for some school/community services. We have fun Turkey hats we wear. Good times.” – Jonathan Payne

“While  I enjoy the food menu at Thanksgiving what I look forward to most are cozy fall drinks by the fire. My favorite is German Glühwein or if you’re looking for something chilled Bon Appetit’s Fall Spritz is delicious.” – Anna Vutech

We are especially thankful this year that we can get together with our loved ones to celebrate the traditions and create the memories that make these moments in our homes so special. From all of us at Kim Cole Real Estate, we wish you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.
